As mother with three very young children, a day away is a rare treat. An entire day of prayer and reflection is a treat that just keeps on giving. But this sort of thing has become a priority for one young mom, and for her husband, too.
This couple makes a regular habit of coming to the Jerusalem Prayer Center to tuck away with God for a day. As believers living in a foreign land, this couple wants their faith to always seen as they live and work. The Jerusalem Prayer Center provides a place of quiet and shelter in a bustling, and often tense, city. The garden, mural wall in the chapel, stair landing, and upper prayer room, are all spots at the JPC that draw people to prayer. It is a place where Believers can take time to “tighten their armor”, and prepare for the next challenges in life.
“Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Eph 6:13)
- Please pray for other Believers in the Land and ask that they might also take every opportunity to protect themselves against evil.
- Thank the Lord for those who make “alone time” with God a priority.
- Ask for their faith to be strengthened as a result of their time away with the Lord.
