Prayer Spaces – Prayer Chapel
Located on the ground floor of the Jerusalem Prayer Center, the Prayer Chapel offers a beautiful space for group worship and retreat. The focus of the chapel is a 4.4 X 3.8 meter “Harvest” mural. The mural was painted by Pamela Suran, a Jewish believer. It depicts the seven species of Deuteronomy 8:8, all ripe for harvest, with scripture painted in Hebrew and Arabic. It is a promise that God made 3500 years ago, that he still keeps. Those seven species are prevalent throughout the land of Israel.
…a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey…
Deuteronomy 8:8 ESV
The words of Jesus from Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV) are included in the mural:
The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out the workers into His harvest field.
